A letter From The Ahmadi Religion to thank all international
human rights organizations, civil society groups, and experts on freedom of religion and belief, as well as academics and networks
The Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light would like to thank all international human rights organizations, civil society groups, and experts on freedom of religion and belief, as well as academics and networks, for expressing their support for the six Jordanian Ansar of Imam Mahdi (pbuh), who were arrested on July 25th, 2024, in Jordan for peacefully proclaiming their faith. In an open letter endorsed by 24 human rights organizations and experts, the signatories call upon Jordan to immediately drop all charges against the believers, specifically “inciting sectarian strife” and “insulting the religious feelings of others.” They also urge Jordan to safeguard the free exercise of religion for the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light community, as protected by Articles 6 and 14 of the Jordanian Constitution. The Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light reaffirms its unwavering commitment to defending freedom of religion and belief and calls upon the international community to continue its support for this just cause until the rights of all believers are secured in Jordan and across the world.
