Our Stance on the Covid-19 Pandemic

There will be great earthquakes, and in various places famines and pestilences. And there will be terrors and great signs from heaven. - Luke 21:11

The stance of the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light regarding the Covid-19 pandemic is that it is a plague and punishment from God, in response to the sins carried by humanity in allowing the destruction of the earth by rejecting God’s messenger. 

 

The leader and spiritual guide of the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light, Abdullah Hashem Aba Al-Sadiq, has made a statement in one of his sermons regarding the Covid pandemic.

“I am inviting you to the Seventh and final Covenant between God and mankind. Accepting this covenant is the only thing that will save you from the punishment which is about to come down upon Mankind. Covid was merely the beginning of that punishment, and a precursor. More plagues and diseases will be unearthed and unleashed upon you. Viruses that were frozen and dormant for thousands of years will become alive once again. Strange illnesses that were never seen before will fall down to the Earth with comets and meteors. Sicknesses that are worse than the Black Death will sweep the globe.” - The Riser Aba Al-Sadiq, from the sermon ‘The Invitation of the Mahdi to be Part of God’s Chosen People’

As a religion, our perspective regarding the pandemic of Covid is that this is a punishment that is the likes of that which fell upon Pharaoh and his people due to their defiance of God. 

 

The gospels speak of plagues and pestilences that fell on the people due to their rejection of God and His messengers.

 

From the Book of Amos:



Amos 4:10: “I sent plagues among you as I did to Egypt. I killed your young men with the sword, along with your captured horses. I filled your nostrils with the stench of your camps, yet you have not returned to me,” declares the LORD.

In the case of Pharaoh and his people, the first plague was sent as a warning. Their continuous defiance caused Him to send many plagues.

 

And as such, in the End Times, the Mahdi inherits from the previous prophets and messengers, and thus it has been written in many scriptures that during this time there will be pestilence, plague and death. 

What is our Perspective on the Covid Vaccines?


We as a people hold it as our religious right to refuse the vaccinations that are being posed as a prevention from the disease of Covid-19. We do not see these supposed vaccinations as effective against God’s punishment, rather we see them as a part of the harmful consequences of the Covid plague. Therefore, to be clear, we do not take the Covid-19 vaccine in any form.

We reserve the right as a religious people to believe in the cure of this disease to come from God, and that He has in fact sent a cure. We believe that the cure is with the divinely appointed guide of today, and that is Abdullah Hashem Aba Al-Sadiq. Scripture is filled with evidence of messengers of God curing their people and granting them health through God’s mercy.

Therefore, the vaccine is considered by the believers of this religion to be ineffective, and the reason for many negative side effects. We see that these side effects are harmful. 

The cure of the disease of Covid-19 is with the Imam of the time, Abdullah Hashem Aba Al-Sadiq.

Matthew 4:24: “The news about Him spread throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him all who were ill, those suffering with various diseases and pains, demon-possessed , epileptics, paralytics; and He healed them.”

Ahmed Al-Hassan (FHIP) Meets Imam Mohammed Al-Mahdi (PBUH & His Family)

“And the story of this meeting was that one day I was asleep and in my sleep, I saw a vision. And the Imam Mahdi (PBUH) was standing near the Mausoleum of Sayyed Mohammed, the brother of Imam Al-Askari (PBUH). And he ordered me to meet him and after that, I woke up and it was 2 am. And I prayed 4 Raka’s of the Night Prayer. And I went to sleep and saw another vision also having Imam Mahdi (PBUH) in it asking to meet me. And I woke up and it was 4 am and so I finished my night prayers and then prayed Fajr.

Then after two days of these visions, I traveled to Samarra where I found the two Imams Al Hadi and Al Askari, (PBUH). Then I returned to Balad where I found Sayyed Mohammed (PBUH) then I went to Baghdad where I found the Imams Al-Kadhim and Al-Jawwad (PBUT). Then I went to Karbala where I found Imam Al-Hussain (PBUH) and the martyrs (PBUT). And I met Imam Mahdi (PBUH) at night in the Mausoleum of Imam Al-Hussain (PBUH). Then I met with Imam Al Mahdi in the morning in the Maqam of Imam Mahdi (PBUH), which is in Karbala at the end of the Al-Sidra street.

So we sat in the Maqam alone, which was almost empty of people, with the exception of the servant (of the Maqam) who was standing in the women’s prayer area away from us.“
