Lady Zaynab
Lady Zaynab was the daughter of Imam Ali (pbuh) and Lady Fatimah (pbuh), the granddaughter of Prophet Muhammad (pbuhahf). Lady Zaynab was part of the caravan of Imam Al-Hussain in Karbala. She witnessed the brutal killing of her family in Karbala but her faith remained firm and unshaken. She went on to give a powerful speech in the court of Yazid, admonishing him for the tragic events that took place in Karbala.

Imam Ahmad Al-Hassan (fhip) said about her:
“It is enough for the people to know that she is Zaynab (pbuh). The pure, blessed, chaste, well mannered, whose heart never knew except purity. And her soul never knew Haram, she is sincere, loyal, honourable. I can not find words to describe her. No matter what I say and no matter how much I speak, I will not do justice to her purity and to the holiness of her soul”.

Zaynab is the one who passed through the same thing that Imam Zainul Abideen (pbuh) passed through, she saw the same of what Imam Zainul Abideen (pbuh) saw of the slaughtering of the people of her house. She spoke the same as he (pbuh) did and yelled in the face of the tyrant as he did.

And Imam Ahmad Al-Hassan (fhip) said:
“She was the greatest sister to me. And now she is a great daughter to me. And she will be a great sister to you. And how can she be compared to Abdullah the infant? How easy was it for the infant to die in Karbala, and how hard was it for a woman to pass through what Zaynab (pbuh) passed through? And Zaynab is much greater than Joseph for sure. And she is much greater than many of the prophets and messengers. She is better than many many many. There is no woman greater than her on the face of the planet except for Fatima Al Zahra (pbuh). And we send an invitation now to Lady Zaynab (pbuh), may our souls be sacrificed for her: Dear sister, in the Divine Just State, we extend to you this invitation. From Joseph and Lot and Elias and Isaac and Jonah and Joshua and Zechariah and Jacob and David and Solomon and Jon and Yahya and Imran and Moses, and their wives, that you attend the birthday celebration of Zaynab in Egypt, arriving in a caravan led by your brother Moses (pbuh). And that is attended by the Angels of Allah and His Messengers and close ones. And on that day God willing, your entrance into Egypt will be greater than that of Jacob’s in his day”.
